[comp.sys.amiga] Rodine out of business

) (11/16/89)

The local dealer here in Ottawa says that Rodine went out of business about
a month or 2 ago. If this is the case, the warrantees aren't worth much
unless someone else picks them up.
The Rodine drives for sale on the net are tempting, but without any
warranty, i don't think i'll take the risk.

Gee, "Rodine" may be out of business, I wouldn't be surprised. Of course, I
have never heard of a "Rodine" disk manufacturer.

However, I know someone who works for "Rodime", a hard disk drive manufacturer
centered in Scotland, with divisions in Boca Raton, Florida, and some branches
in Hong Kong and elsewhere in the Orient. I assure you I would have heard if
they went out of business a month ago. They are still in business, paying
their employees, and embarking into adventures in new drive technology.

I'd go to a different dealer. :)
