Not very elegant, but the price is right. These two programs allow you to set up a schedule of various tasks that need to be run at periodic intervals. Sounds like line noise to me. Options are to redial and hope for a better line, clean up the connections around your house, or buy a modem with built-in error correction and only call boards that support it. Since the workbench screen is showing you all the storage devices you have on your system, there's no way for it to denote which device the trashcan is associated with.
