Has anyone else had problems with the sound of programs that are installed on a hard disk ? My particulars : system : A2000, Microbotics HardFrame, Quantum 40s, regular Agnes. programs : Falcon -- I just got this today and installed it on my hard drive. The opening theme music is not played. The sound of the jet engine is not heard (note : I know about the toggle that turns on and off the engine sounds -- it was in the correct mode). Jack Nicklaus' Greatest 18 Holes ... -- the digitized voice that says "Accolade presents Jack Nicklaus' Greatest 18 holes of Major Championship Golf" dies after "Championship". Note : I have lots of other programs on the hard disk with sound and music that work fine. Reply to ewing@se-sd.sandiego.ncr.com. Thanks, Dave Ewing

Please, someone tell me that the HardFrame (the controller that
I was planning on buying) does not kill the sound while it's running. I
had visions of loading in music as it was playing...

Ok. You can give sounds different priority levels, maybe the HardFrame is
overriding the chip's sound for lower priorities?
Then again, aren't these priorities a function of the software, not the
hardware? Is the HardFrame really beating up the Amiga's sound?
One more thing:
: Falcon -- I just got this today and installed it on my hard drive.
Did you try running it from the "floppies", first?
