Please >send mail, I'll summarize and post if there's any interest. Hello Iain, I have some experience with the kronous 500 controller, and I think I may know what is happening with your contoller. This guess is based on the following presumptions: 1) You have not set up the hard drive yet. 2) You did not buy the hardrive preset. (more or less the same as 1;) 3) The gray screen is the not symptom of something else... If this is true, the hard drive controller is trying to get its boot information off the hard drive, and since it doesn't exixts... *poof* I had a similiar problem caused by an overloaded power supply that was causing data from the drive to corrupt periodicaly; the boot data from the disk would cause the system to crash.
