First of all, I'd like to say how useful and wonderful this newsgroup is. Secondly, as someone who has *finally* decided to go Amiga, I am at a crossroads. Sure, if I had a million bucks... But, I don't. The way I see it, I can go for the A2000, MIDI, starter keyboard, 40MB HD, and a music sequencer program, a "nice" 3D graphics/animation program, and somebody's C and debugger -- all for under $4000. OR Buy an A2500, and ... run out of money. I want to start running *now*. I am sick of reading the Amiga magazines, and watching incredible demo tapes on the Amiga's video abilities! Just like Varuka (sp) in _Willy_Wonka_: "But I want it now...!" So, is it unreasonable to get the above starter system (A2000), then in 2 to 3 years, get the A3000? (Hey - I heard that snicker. You're saying, "Yeah, it might be three years until the next PRESS RELEASE ON THE A3000!") Too much is happening, too fast. I want to begin developing applications. ================================================================================ | Brandon G.
