I was told by my local amiga dealer (Design Mirage in State College, PA) that Commodore does has a discount policy for educational institutions, specifically that if you are affiliated with a univesity the dealer can offer a discount direct from Commodore. Realize that this is not gospel, merely something commented on by a salesman. They offer a discount on most everything there for students as part of their policy, so they weren't able to discount Commodore stuff as part of the plan because it was already discounted to their bottom figure, or some such nonsense. Because they deal entirely with a student or university affiliated population (the town is named "State College", after all, and its neighboring town is "University Park") it is likely they offer the discount unilaterally and so their discount is often the commodore discount. I don't know, higher accounting was always beyond me. So, anyone know if Commodore does have an official policy? Or was the store just making things up for no good reason? ------------ Sandy Antunes "the Waupelani Kid" 'cause that's where I live... antunes@astro.psu.edu Penn State Astronomy Dept ------------ "sleep is for the weak and sickly" ------------
