With the rash of new hypercard-like programs appearing (UltraCard, CanDo, VIVA(?), and one CBM is supposedly working on), it seems to me that somebody should come up with some sort of file standard for them (and soon!! 2-3 months ago would be a good time). I'm sure they use IFF standards for pictures and sounds, but is there some standard for the actual hypermedia programs? It seems to me this would encourage a lot of Mac software companies who produce Hypercard stacks to port them to the amiga; if there are 5 completely different types of hyper-stuff, they might not be so quick to start work on them.... I know very little about how hypercard-type programs operate, so there may already be some type of standard I don't know about... or maybe the programs generate self-running hyper-???? stacks. -- Gibberish .sig for sale or lease. is spoken Contact don@vax1.acs.udel.edu for more information. here.
