Um, as far as I can tell, student discounts are a joke. At least at Cal Poly
they are. A lot of the stuff is not that much discounted. In fact, I can buy
an HP Paintjet cheaper at the Computerland outlet in town. I think this is a
joke. Plus, the only thing the school carries is Apple and IBM, and some
wacky clone. The only thing I would even consider buying at the Cal Poly
bookstore is a Next. (now that we have finally started selling them. Whew!)
I would hope that along with the new marketing strategy CBM is doing, they
start some good education marketing scheme as well.
