Pleeeeaaaasseee don't flame me for asking this. I am the happy owner of an Amiga 1000. I had originally bought the 1000 by convincing my parents that it would be fully PC compatible with the sidecar...otherwise they would have insisted on buying a stupid stock clone for my schoolwork. Well, as everyone knows, the 1000 sidecar was killed when they introduced the 500 and 2000, saying "If you want PC compatibility, get the 2000". I did not have the money for an upgrade at the time, so I bought this Franklin PC 8000 for $600. It has a Hercules graphics card installed with NTSC output. Up until now, I have run the NTSC output into my 1080 monitor and gotten OK results (text is not in color...the only time I see color is when I switch to a graphics mode). Well, I'm tired of monochrome text when I use the PC, so I want to know.....is there any way of connecting the RGB line from the PC into my 1080 monitor by hacking up a cable? By the way, I only use the PC for directly class-related work that must be done on a PC or clone (like using Turbo Pascal or something). Otherwise I use my Amiga, as I find the PC boring, dull, and slow. So, does anyone know if it is possible to pipe the RGB output into my Amiga 1080 monitor? ---Prem Subrahmanyam (prem@geomag.gly.fsu.edu)
