The replies I've seen to my original query seem to suggest that most people create new icons from some paint program and then use a converter program to turn it into an icon (a la BRUSH2ICON). You mean there is no real good editor for icons??? What if you get one of those wonderful icons from some public domain disk somewhere and want to use something similar with one of your programs? Is there a simple way of adjusting "just a few bits here and a few bits there"? -- =================================================================== David Masterson Consilium, Inc. uunet!cimshop!davidm Mt. The best icon editor I've seen so far is called 'Icon Magic'. It comes via PAR Software and was written by the same people who've done Express Paint. The user interface is very similar to Express Paint and it supports their interprocess protocol also. One of the features I like best is the ability to change things like the window size the icon opens and the position of the icon on the screen. It also supports up to 16 colors... : =================================================================== : David Masterson Consilium, Inc. : uunet!cimshop!davidm Mt.
