For the last couple of months, the rumors have been many and varied. To my knowlege, however, only one of the rumor propagators had actually talked to someone at CMI about it. Bill Seymour had hoped to give us the new number two or three weeks ago, after CMI finished reorganizing. Since then all of the rumors I've heard/seen have been that CMI is dead. If anyone propagating any of the rumors can provide more in the way of evidence for their claims, please do. I'd like VERY MUCH to know what is going on. If you've interviewed 3/4 of CMI's employees for new jobs, please speak up. If you talked to the president of the reorganizing company yesterday, please speak up. If you would like to pass on the rumor you heard from someone who heard from someone that so-and-so implied that... then please don't speak up. Hopefully that last sentence should make a request for email unnecessary. Thanks in advance for the help of anyone who can clarify this situation for me. Several projects at work are on hold pending a determination of the status of CMI, and I've tried pretty hard to find out on my own... -- A lack of prior planning on the part of any programmer always constitutes an emergency.
