[comp.sys.amiga] Mandelbrot pics

My favourite mandelbrot program is Mandelvroom, from Fred Fish disk
#215. It allows you to make Mandelbrot and Julia curves in any
resolution up to the size of the (non-overscan) screen. It can use a
60881 if you have one, and will be as accurate as you need it to be.
Set up to be as accurate as it can be, it took 15 hours to produce a
full screen interlace fractal for me. I think that this is the longest
it can take, set up with it's default accuracy it takes about 1 1/2 to 2
hours to produce a full interlace screen fractal. I highly recommend
it!

     Any time I'm in the mood for a Mandelbrot I pull out MandFXP
by CygnusSoft (the authors of CygnusEd Professional). The FXP
stands for FiXed Point - all calculations are done as integers;
multiple words are strung together if more precision is necessary.
It needs no 68881 or floating-point emulation of any sort, and
it's FAST. Although it was originally a commercial item ($15 or
so) it's now freely distributable. It has lots of features and
is easy to use.  Recommended.
