.
First a couple of corrections to my previous post, of several days
ago.
1. It's version 3.06 of crossdoss not 3.6
2. Total cost was $20 + change not $21 + change.
3. di0:textfile did not load properly into Uedit, even without
] (cr) filtering.
Now on to more experiences
Hardware: A1000 Nov 1985 vintage, 512 k, 2 drives
Booting Amigados 1.2, attached di0: as per crossdoss manual,
activated Txfilter for di0:, and put a PCDOS 3.3 720k disk
in internal drive.
list di0: appears to work.
copy di0:textfile df1: produces a requestor informing me that its
not a dos disk in unit 0. Clicking on retry doesn't help. Clicking
on cancel does cancel the request with the error message
could not get information for ":" error 225
Using an early version of the ARP copy program from Sept. 87 copies
about 30k of a 60k textfile.
Booting Amigados 1.2 with ARP 1.3 utilities and some other goodies,
and attempting the same copies using the C= copy program and the ARP
copy program produces the same results.
Attempting to load di0:textfile without filtering into Uedit 2.3f
loads a truncated file (CRs are included). And as written previously
loading di0:textfile] loads one block.
DOS 2 DOS version 1.6 transfers the file correctly from PCDOS to
Amiga OFS format.
copy di0:]textfile df1: attempts to copy di0:textfile with filtering
and produces a file named df1:]textfile. So the destination file must
be explicitly named to avoid the ] in its name.
copy di0:#?] df1: did nothing at all, returned immediately with
the prompt.
I would like to hear from any persons who are having better success
than I with this program. Corrections to my procedures, program fixes,
would be most most appreciated. Please e-mail
