I finally saw copies of the Commodore magazine ads. They look quite good. But being the nit-picker that I am, I just have to point out a serious flaw in one of them. Case number 44 describes a program used to to help dyslexics overcome their condition. The text on the screen in the photograph includes the following sentences: "Grandparents are usually on your your side. They care alot ^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^ about you and usually spend alot of extra time with you." ^^^^ The words "a lot" are misspelled a third time farther on. Although I applaud the intent of the program, such errors are inexcusable. If we're talking about a program to help dyslexics, is it too much to ask that all text be completely correct? I don't mean this as a flame. But advertisements like this are intended to present a good image. If I can spot bloopers like this, Commodore's competitors can too - and they have no reason to try to be nice about it. Charlie_Gibbs@mindlink.UUCP Dyslexics of the world: untie!
