[comp.sys.amiga] Don't buy from Go Amigo!

I purchased a 2000 from them, and after two months, I finally received
it. But there was one problem. It was motherboard rev. 6 and did not
work with any hard drive (I tried three). So, I returned it to them and
after about another two months, I contacted Commodore about the computer
They were going to get a hold of them and find out what happened. They
told me to call Go Amigo directly. When I talked to Go Amigo, they told
me that the computer I sent them did not have any 8450 (?) chips in it
and that it didn't work at all for them. I know that was a lie, because
I had opened the computer myself and there were no missing chips, and
besides, the computer worked perfectly without a hard drive in it.
They told me that they would have to wait for new chips to come in
before they could return it to me. This made me furious, and I again
called Commodore. They told me that they had told Go Amigo two weeks
previous to send me a brand new machine, and that they would get ahold
of them again. Four days later, I got another machine. This is quite
unreasonable service in my opinion, and I will not order from them
again.

Note: Please do not call Commodore first to complain about a dealer.
I had placed my order with a Commodore representative who then ordered
from Go Amigo! I was under their VAR program, which allowed me to do
this. Commodore received quite a few complaints about Go Amigo!, and
I don't think they are dealing their VAR clients through Go Amigo! any
longer.
