Okay, I know now that C is the only language worth using, when trying to program the Amy. However, I did purchase MCC Pascal with the machine, because I wasn't familiar with neither the Amiga C-written ROM Kernel manuals nor the awful manual of MCC Pascal. But I did pay 995 fmk of that and I'm going to use it. The Pascal strictly conforms to the ISO Pascal, only shortly mentioning use of INCLUDE and EXTERNAL dircetives. But, I ask, who would buy an Amiga, if all (s)he wants is to program programs with stdio ? Not me! Even the CP/M Turbo Pascal is more pleasant.(All right, that was maybe unjust.) So is there anyone who has overcome that outraging limit? I do have tried, but repedeately being unsuccesful. I tried to type a program which would open an intuition window, just _OpenWindow(...). I compiled it and (finally ) it was syntactically correct. Then tried to link...everything was ok but, linker left only one 'unresolved reference' in :lib/amiga.lib : '_IntuitionBase'! That program does a GURU, obiviously because of using zero as _IntuitionBase. And so the _LVO's go far off. So what should be done to get those base pointers if they can't be found in amiga.lib? There is no other reasonable files to link (I did link, of course with paslib.obj) in Pascal V1.25 disk. Should there have been an another disk in the package?
