I have recently been experiencing some problems with my A500 that I believe originate in my hard drive. My system is an A500 with Supra SCSI Interface, Adaptec 4010 controller and St225 drive. It has been up and running for about 9 months without problem until Sunday, when for no apparent reason the keyboard seemed to lock up. The mouse still worked, and I was able to reboot the machine using ctrl-A-A, but other than that I was unable to do anything. Since then the exact same thing has happened about 6 more times. If it locks up dduring disk activity, the disks remain running until the machine is rebooted. I also had some problems with errors on my hard drive, and when I tried to reboot the machine locked up while booting. This time though the machine had been on for about an hour, so it may have been kind of warm. After leaving it turned off over night, it rebooted fine, with no errors at all on the drive, but after about 15 minutes the keyboard locked up again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My only thought ws perhaps a loose chip that gives difficulty when it warms. Also, I am powering the interface using my A500 power supply, but when the hard drive is not turned on, I experience no problems. Thanks in advance for any help, rsn@ndmath.math.nd.e
