[comp.sys.amiga] Sneaky marketing ploy

We, I mean the guys at Virtual Reality, my new publisher have been
working on Software Etc. to pick up Distant Suns. We've sent them
a sample at their request early this month, but have heard nothing
from them. A half-dozen calls have gone unanswered.

Now, a simple request to the brilliant and generous USENETers out there. . .

Could you guys and gals, when you're spying on Software Etc, (or any
other major chain) ask them if they have Distant Suns. And when they
say "Huh?", casually mention that you've hear alot of good things
about it (which you would have if you read our ads or the reviews).
That's its won a number of awards, and that its a great family program
(unlike Leasure Suit Larry).

The idea is to simply get them to call their buyer and ask about the thing,
who in turn will probably return some of our phone calls.

BTW, Software Etc. is owned by B. Daltons. And it would be a real coup
to be able to get into there.

Of course, you are under absolutely no obligation to buy the thing if
one of the stores should happen to carry it, but feel free to read that
terrific copy on the back of the box.
