Having just received the "Falcon Mission Disk: Operation Counterstrike"
for Christmas, I was eager to try it out. Looks great, sounds great...then
I tried to fly.
After flying around for 30seconds to intercept some tanks (1st mission),
I get shot down no matter where I go. I tried flying to 70,000 feet with
afterburners but still get blown out of the sky. I've earned quite a few
purple hearts tho :-)
What's the deal? How can I get through this mission?

If you keep getting shot down, its probably because u did not give the right
codes at the beginning of the game...

It almost sounds like you got the code wrong from the code wheel when the game first starts up. The program will let you take off but shortly after takeoff you catch on fire and crash and burn (if you have gotten the code wrong twice that is). The mission disk is a major improvement over the original Falcon especially in being able to land successfully.

Thanks to all who replied to my message. I was indeed entering incorrect
codes. Fumbling fingers during the excitement of Christmas :-)

p.s. Also got the California Scenery disk for The Duel: Test Drive II
Another great add on! Doesn't quite add as much to the game as
the Car Disk did, but still Accolade did an excellent job!
