Oops. I was just compiling something, and suddenly I get a requestor that says I have a read/write error on my hard disk. After some exploration, it seems that the error(s?) are limited to one directory (maybe two?) on the disk (the directory containing my Aztec C includes). Is there some sort of utility that will allow me to track down just which sectors have gone bad? And possibly do some minor surgery on the disk to recover whatever is possible? I'm afraid to try anything like DiskDoctor or DiskSalv without knowing what the bad sector is..... The disk has been perfect until this point; the Aztec compiler has been installed for several months without changes, so I'm surprised that an error would occur spontainously this way -- usually there's a little warning when a sector is going bad.
