[comp.sys.amiga] LUCAS 68020 Accelerator for the Amiga 1000 for sale

bmacintyre@watdragon.waterloo.edu (Blair MacIntyre) (01/10/90)

Ok, I'm trying to trim down my extra computer equipment, so I want
to sell my LUCAS board.

For those of you that have an Amiga 1000 and don't know what it is,
it is a card that sit's in the 68000 socket and puts a 68020 and
68881 in the system. The board run asyncronously to the rest of the
system, adding the new processor at speeds up to 20Mhz (that's the
fastest I've ever ran it).
Note: this is a kit that I built. I've had it working for a half year
now, but find I don't do anything that requires the speed, especially
the math speed (which is the big advantage)

Eventually, you could build a memory card to go with it, I don't have
one.

So, I want to sell it. I'd like to get at least $600 Canadian, or best
offer. Whether or not I pay shipping depends on the offer ... :-)
I'll also throw in all the extra chips that I have lying around from
when I built it, including the infamous extra 74xx74 chips.
Also included are clocks to run at 12Mhz, 16Mhz and 20Mhz

I'll also throw in a bus terminator, which terminates the data lines on
the external bus to reduce noise and increase reliability.

Finally, I'd consider parting with the User Manuals for the 68020 and
the 68881. Of course, that is definately dependent on the offer.

Act now! If you do any math intensive stuff on your Amiga, this is
a must!
