gerry@dialogic.UUCP (Gerry Lachac) (01/11/90)
The Feb. 1990 issue of PUBLISH! is devoted to "Desktop Presentations."
The articles are mostly reviews of PC/Mac slideshow programs.
However, there is a very interesting feature article entitled "Main
Event", which is all about multimedia.
The article relates several real-life uses for multimedia and
gives Mac and Amiga examples. They basicly sing the Amiga's praises.
(eg one of the sidebars is entitled "The Amiga: Designed for the job")
The article points out many benefits of the Amiga vs Mac/PC for
multimedia. I was fairly impressed, though of course, there were some
misleading comments. They pointed out the benefits such as the custom
chips, the price, the built-in NTSC and the graphic interface.
The most interesting quote however was:
"For the Amiga, Commodore is co-developing an authoring program that
it hopes will have many of the same capabilities of HyperCard."
Anyone know anything about this beast?
