I'd like to buy a hard-disc interface for my Amiga 1000 - an interface for the 500 is acceptable unless it physically won't fit on a 1000. The ideal interface would have the following qualities: - passes the bus - is reasonably fast - 200K/sec reads would be nice. - has space _inside the box_ for a disc drive - room for a 5-inch would be nice (I'm willing to add an external power supply) - has space _inside the box_ for a couple of megs of auto-config memory - includes fairly nice prepping/formatting/configuring software - preferably SCSI, but I'd consider st-506 (after all, it's cheaper) - in the range of $100 used would be VERY nice - MUST work with a 68020 If you have a box that satisfies some or all of the above qualifications that you want to sell, or would like to recommend a particular product, I'd like to hear from you. If you want to sell a box with a disc already in it, I'd prefer 40 megs or larger, and hopefully under $500 for the whole setup. If you want to sell a box with memory already in it, I can pay something like $90/megabyte. - r. * Ranjit Bhatnagar * 4211 Pine St * Philadelphia, PA 19104 * (215) 222-5767 * "Trespassers w" ranjit@eniac.seas.upenn.edu mailrus!eecae!netnews!eniac!...
