Hello all, I have a nasty problem that I can't seem to pin down. I hope some of you may have some ideas that you will share with me. Here's the problem: My floppy drives won't acknowledge a diskette (even when attempting to cold boot from DF0:). I have a 2000, Hardframe auto-boot controller, 48 meg Seagate, 8 Up w/2meg, 2 floppy drives. My startup-sequence contains ConMan, ScreenX, Xoper, DMouse, and I have installed ARP. The symptoms are as follows: 1. The trackdisk.device has been accessed. 2. The devices have been mounted correctly. 3. All of the Amiga's self-tests are successful. 4. The diskette drives do not appear to be damaged (the infernal clicking is still occuring). 5. ChkDsk will acknowledge the DF0: and DF1: devices when executed wtihout a parameter, but when executed with DF0: or DF1:, ChkDsk says the device is not mounted. 6. Attempting to mount the device results in a "DFx: already mounted" message. Any help that anyone can offer on this one will be much appreciated! Feel free to respond via direct e-mail, and if I get a solution, I will post it. Thanks in advance.
