This may sound a bit strange, but is it possible to read Amiga
format disks on an (IBM-type)PC?
The reasom I am asking is that I would like to upload a bunch of
stuff (fish disks). It would be easiest to do this on my PC at work,
during the day (My wife doesn't exactly like me tying the phone
line up for 8 hours at a time! :-).
I would also like to avoid having to copy all of the amiga disks to PC
type disks!
Any ideas out there?

I don't know of any PC programs that will allow reading/writing from/to Amiga disks but, alternatively there are such programs as Dos-2-Dos and CrossDOS that allow PC disks to be read/written on an amiga. The main difference between the two mentioned programs is that Dos-2-Dos is a stand-alone program allowing reading/writing/formatting of PC and ST disks. CrossDOS is alot more flexible as it allows you to mount the PC device and use it as easily as you would use AmigaDOS. Hope it helps...
