I've recently obtained a secondhand A2090A controller for my 2000. I suspect it's an early one, as the only documentation I got with it was a book that was obviously for the A2090 - no mention of autoboot whatsoever. I also got a diskette with the prep, install, etc. What I'd like to know is what the latest version of the prep is, and if I don't have it, how I might go about *getting* it, since I'm not the original owner of the board (and don't have the original disk). More specificly, has this software been improved at all? I've used the Supra software for some time on another system, and compared to that, the stuff I have for the 2090A is, uh, to be polite, not too good. The message "Not PREPed" seems to be the extent of it's diagnostic abilities. Second part of the question concerns interfacing to the 2090A's SCSI port. Given that I have a nice SCSI tape drive hanging about, and that I've done device drivers for other sorts of systems (not 68000's, mind you, and not SCSI, either) I've thought about trying to write something myself. Any suggestions as to where one might start? Is the 2090A covered in the new printing of the Hardware manual?? I seem to remember seeing some sample driver source for some device around; any pointers?? Scott Denham Houston, TX ssd@sugar.hackercorp.com
