I have previously posted a message about uucp 1.00D not uncompressing news or sending mail to the proper directories. I have looked into it further and see that rnews is failing with an error message when called by uuxqt which says that it is unable to load rnews. The rnews file is in uucp:c and has a size of 19688. Does anyone have this working? -- ****************************************************************************** Bill Hogsett CLEVELAND AREA-AMIGA USERS' GROUP (CA-AUG) ncoast!bill (216) 292-4404 (BBS) ncoast!wfhami!bill 20876 Almar Drive Shaker Heights, OH 44122 I get paid for my legal opinions, but 216-295-1624 I'd really rather talk about my Amiga. ******************************************************************************

Yes, I've had it running for quite some time now. And I helped to develop it with Matt. What it sounds like to me is that you don't have rnews in your path. This version of UUCP searches your executable path to find its files. So, if you are keeping your executables in "uucp:c", make sure to add something like "Path uucp:c add" to your startup-sequence somewhere. Another thing is to make sure that UULIB:, UUSPOOL:, UUPUB:, UUNEWS:, and UUMAIL: are all assigned to the proper directories and that UUNEWS: contains directories for all the newsgroups you will be carrying. Make sure that there is plenty of free space in the UUNEWS: directory for the work files. The next version of UUCP will likely have support for C News if there is time to do the port. >Bill Hogsett CLEVELAND AREA-AMIGA USERS' GROUP (CA-AUG) Good Luck, Darrin -- Darrin A. Darrin, I noticed your Amiga enthusiasts of Cleveland line and wanted to let you know that the AFIT Amiga Users BBS in Dayton, Ohio is now a UseNet to Fido Gateway. We can be reached at uunet!dayvb!afitamy. I believe we are the third gateway in Ohio and the only Amiga gateway. Hope to establish uucp ties with Amiga enthusiasts all over. From the AFITAUG, hello everyone we are here! -Don- -- Don Rumford - via FidoNet node 1:110/300 UUCP: uunet!dayvb!afitamy!rumford ARPA: rumford@afitamy.fidonet.org $ $p \uunet!dayvb!afitamy!rumford
