There's another PCB layout program (I don't recall the name right now, but it's something like PCLO+). Pro-Net and Pro-Board are the only "more" professional programs for Schematic capture AND PCB layout I know. And yes, you can use almost any CAD package that works with layers ((does any doesn't? ;^)). Aegis Draw 2000 has an example PCB layout with the grid and some basic components set up for this. The thing with non-PCB specific CAD packages is that you will never know if your connections are o.k. (i.e. no way to get a net-list or 'what is connected to what'). Also there's no such thing like Auto- Routing, back-annotation, ratnest view, and all those features you would expect in a good PCB layout program....BUT you have more flexibility and you can use the program to design other stuff.B^). BTW: if you are trying to find a Schematic-PCB layout program like those on the MS-D*S machines, you will have to wait A WHIIIILLLEEE, because the high end for this programs put the AMIGA ones to shame. Perhaps some day programmers will realize the power of the AMIGA for this chores. ?B^). Marco Gonzalez DISCLAIMER: My opinions in NO way reflect those of my employer.
