Oh no, he's back with more hardware crap to try to get
rid of :-) :-) :-)
A week or so ago I posted a brief blurb on some 3.5" floppy hack
we were doing for our club. Basically we found some inexpensive
IBM 720 K drives and were able to modify them to fully function on
the Amiga. After modification, they will directly plug into a
2000, or with the use of a small interface we built, will function
as an external drive, through the drive port. The physical
characteristics are almost the same, they are a tad slimmer than the
normal Chinon's found in the 2000's (by about 3/8"), they have a
black faceplate with a hinged door. The external interface card requires
about $3 in parts and the proper cables (plus case for the drive).
We did this for our club and did not get rid of them all, so I am
making the same offer on here. A modified, tested drive is
$55, and if needed, the external interface card (BARE) is $15.
Plus some pennies for shipping :-). If interested leave me e-mail.
We have a very limited supply (we bought all that we could get), and
cannot use more than 4 at once on our machines (GRIN).
p.s. these are Alps drives...
Regards,
George (where does he find this crap) Gibeau ;-)
