Well Dennis, here we are again together. People are going to begin to think we are the same person. :) I just ordered a SyQuest-44 removable media hard drive. I have a C Ltd. host/controller (not bought through Abel :). I am going to have to see how I will drive the SyQuest when I get it. You might want to take a look at INFO mag. #26 pg. 48 which refers to C Ltd.'s SCSIDos 3.0 as "including a 'roll your own driver' program that lets you build a custom driver for just about SCSI interfaced device". I haven't looked at the program on SCSI 3.0 but I may need it to use the SyQuest. You may want to consider the SyQuest as an alternative to tape backup. It is usable as a hard drive, could be used to do backups, and is reasonably priced. I ordered mine from Mac-Zone for $625 US including one 44 meg cartridge. I ordered a second cartridge for ~$90 US. Mac-Zone is at 1-800-248-0344 and is based in Seattle, WA. Let me know if you decide on a SyQuest and I'll let you know what I ended up with for a driver. I know it is possible as C Ltd. was selling the SyQuest with their controllers. -- Ernie Gorrie 9431 McBurney Drive, Richmond, B.C.
