I've had the necessary software for months, but I'm missing the device drivers. Thanks for any help. rsn@ndmath (this is cc-ed to comp.sys.amiga since I had so much trouble with this too :-) To use MTOOLS with the sparcstation, all I did was to change the FLOPPY device to /dev/rfd0 and the 3.5" disk driver entry to /dev/rfd0 in the msdos.h file (I think). Comment out the disk driver entries that are not appropriate (i.e. the 5.25" disk drives). Then put in a formatted disk and try to do "mdir /." which should work! You might also need to "setenv MCWD /" to get it going. I've had some trouble with getting segmentation faults when the default directory it uses is invalid, but otherwise it's been working. CROSSDOS on the other hand does not seem to be working well. Very often I get this "error 4" requester when trying to read files off the msdos disk di0:. With several retries, I can get it working, usually. Anybody else out there seen this? I thought it might be a problem with ARP 1.3 or maybe on the MTOOLS side. monty kosma@alan.decnet.lockheed.com
