[comp.sys.amiga] Upgrading from A1000->A2000 without losing anything

barrett@jhunix.HCF.JHU.EDU (Dan Barrett) (02/03/90)

I plan to upgrade my A1000 to some sort of A2xxx machine, and I have
a weird question: I won't LOSE any functionality in the upgrade, will I?

o	Does the A2000 have a composite video output? I dump stuff
to my VCR a lot. If not, how do I get one (short of buying
		a genlock)?

o	I have several A1000 serial and parallel peripherals. Are
there gender/pinout changers readily available so I can use
them on the A2000? (MIDI interface, Futuresound digitizer,
		etc.)

o	How hard is it to install my A1010 external disk drive as
an internal disk drive in the A2000?

o	Does there exist a MULTISYNC monitor with stereo speakers,
plus a composite video input (like the 1080 has)? I like to
play my VCR through the Amiga monitor, and I'd like to get
		a multisync for ECS compatibility.

o	I understand that a Microbotics Starboard II can be installed
in an A2000 with some sort of adapter. Can someone please
		describe this installation?

Thanks for any and all info -- I prefer E-MAIL for answers. I'll
summarize if there is interest.

                                                        Dan
