Being such an avid ANTI-tvsports football poster, (I want my $40 back!!), I thought it was only fair that I relay my findings on TV SPORTS BASKETBALL. I was able to preview it at the Local user group meeting, where it came from I won't bother to guess. Here are some things that are different from the football: HARD DRIVE SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Game installs on any partition, in any directory, not just DH0:, I hate when they do that. MULTI-TASKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can do a A-n and your back to WorkBench, you can even pull WB down and play while it is still in back. Expansion A default set of teams is Reel2, but there is a NBA disk ready. Multiple Games You don't have to reboot the machine to play another game, it goes back to the main menu. Computer control The computer still will control your guy for you, however when you are in control of your guy, there is a much longer pause before the computer takes over. Drawbacks (so far) Gameplay Playability is still poor compared. It is very hard to tell where your guy is. The Game seems to call charging WAY TO MUCH, if you're ahead of a guy and he is towards your right side, and you jump to the right, while the other guy is still moving, it is a charge. I thought the defensive guy had to be stationary...position. Getting an offesive board is impossible, and steals are to frequent! Graphics The graphics are great, of course. It is in halfbright, i think, and the artwork is vintrage CW. But once again it seems that the great graphics get in the way of fluid player motion, though the interuptions from cute little side show anims are gone. Specialty Plays Once again, non-normal aspects of the game are gone; If there are two seconds left and your are in the back court, you can't air up an 80ft. shot, atleast from what I saw. You can only pass or continue down the court. I didn't see any alley-oops, however, there is an impressive array of slams!!! Summation (so far..) This game is a huge improvement of TV sports Football, (I want my $40 back!!), it is now like most games that have just a few things wrong and not a TON. I will be buying this one mainly for one reason, the HD support(thanks CW!!!!!). plus the multi-tasking. Bye.
