Forgive me if this old news, but the dec/jan issue of 'Computer Pictures' just wandered in. This rag seems targeted at the high tech corporado Audio/Videot types and says nice things about 'The One True Computer' in two articles. "Low Cost 3-d Modeling Coming of Age" p23, by Steve Polilli: "...below the $12k range, especially using a M*c or Commodore platform, ... but check rendering time " goes on to say that M*c has the lion's share of the market but that Amiga is considered a good buy that still delivers quality. He notes that "Commodore has done a better job of marketing the machine overseas than domestically." More pleasing is "Amiga: Designed with Video in Mind" p27, by Suzan Prince" "Some wags call the Amiga a working man's video graphics box, because it would be hard to spend more than $8k for a loaded version... (Commodore) never dreamed of the unit's early and enduring acceptance among video production and communications professionals." 3 solid pages of hardware and application discussion follows. -- -Frank Cunningham smart: fc@lexicon.com phone: (617) 891-6790 dumb: {husc6,linus,harvard,bbn}!spdcc!lexicon!fc snail: Lexicon Inc. 100 Beaver St. Waltham MA 02174 Why are viola jokes so short ?
