I am considering expanding my A2000 with a hard drive and another 2Meg of memory. I have been quoted a price of 1300 (Cdn) for a Seagate 48Meg drive, a populated GVP SCSI controller/RAM expander (2Meg) installed. I haven't done much shopping around yet and wondered if this is a good price. Are there any gotchas I should be looking for? Does anybody know of a better deal in the Toronto area? Alas, it appears that my usual vendor (Desktop Comp in Richmond Hill) is no more and I was given this quote at Thornhill Computers. Can anybody give me any opinions about them from a post-purchase and support point of view? Anything you have to share with me on these two topics will be gratefully received and the lucky draw may provide you with a trip for two to sunny Acapulco!
