Over the past few months, an intermittant thread has discussed good Amiga magazines. I haven't seen anyone mention Compute's Amiga Resource, which I find pretty good. It appeared on the local newstand in my village of 5,000 about 7 months ago, so surely you can find it where you are. There are the usual chatty beginner's articles, but also a technical column by Rob Peck that's pretty good. It offers a disk with each issue which has had some pretty good stuff on it, such as the highly touted SCRIPIT (a script program that can work on screens, windows, and menus at the WB level), V (a good picture viewer), and req (which cooperates with iconX to put up a file requestor, substitute the file requested into some string like 'assign fonts: %%', and then executes it). Also some keen games, and lots of source. The staff seems to be pretty knowledgable. That is, some of the games on the disk are written by the editors, etc.
