[comp.sys.amiga] software for speech impaired

FUCHS@pucc.Princeton.EDU (Ira Fuchs) (02/07/90)

Does anyone know of any software that could be used to teach young
children or people with mild, correctable speech impairments how to
form sounds and words? For example, has anyone seen a program which
could show graphically a cross-section of the mouth showing how various
phonemes are produced? Any linguistics related software is also of interest.

Related question: Can the SAY program that comes with the Amiga accept
phoneme codes as input or does it just produce them as output (along with
the sound)? If it does permit this, does anyone have a table of the
recognized phonemes?s
