I have an HP DeskJet. It's not nearly as fast as a laser printer, but the output is just as good if you use it in unidirectional mode. The ink smudges easily until it dries, and even after it dries the ink is water soluble (like you can't carry printouts in a heavy rainstorm or drop them in a filled bathtub). The pages come out and pile in reverse order. The ink cartridges are expensive and don't last that long, but it's noticably cheaper than using a laser printer. I recommend it. My only big problems with the DeskJet is that the soft fonts are not compatible with anything else (like the LaserJet, for instance) and I can't find a font editor (send me a message if you know of one!), and that none of the fonts have slashed 0's (I'm a programmer, I hate unslashed 0's!). (Again, if you know of any, mail me. Thanks!) -*- Alec -*- PCHROMCZ@drunivac.bitnet PCHROMCZ@drunivac.drew.edu {world}!rutgers!njin!drew!drunivac!PCHROMCZ
