We're planning to buy a graphics printer / plotter for our VAX-11/780, running Berkeley 4.1bsd. It is mainly to be used as a high quality document printer, but with some amount of graphics output as well. I would be very interested to hear from people with own experience from using various such devices, especially the new laser / xerographic types. Some points of interest would be: (1) Manufacturer and model number. (2) Price (max 20.000 USD). (3) Availability of interfaces, drivers and application software under 4.1bsd (4.2bsd).
