Some time back I was able to get some files of Fred Fish disks via FTP from 128.174.5.54 uxe.cso.uiuc.edu Yesterday I got connection refused on that address. Is there another site ?? I also am gathering that in order to get good files, I should be sure FTP is in image mode by invoking it as FTP -i xxx.xxx.x.xx? Then I will get files to my Sun3/260. Then I must make sure Kermit is in binary mode with set file type binary on the server and my amiga. Are there any other gotchas to watch out for? so far I have not successfully achieved the complete chain for a single file, but I have not tried much. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alan McDonley, Martin Marietta Information and Communication Systems (303) 977-3347 mcdonley@inlatlas.den.mmc.com P.O.Box 1260 ncar!dinl!mcdonley Denver,CO 80201-1260 Opinions are my own, not my employer's. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

You have to type 'TYPE I' as soon you are connected to the foreign host to get into the image mode. Hope it helps, Werner
