I recently received a TINY TIGER 90M hard drive from M.A.S.T. (cheque was cashed last August, threatened to sue them in November and got the drive in December) . It is a Fujitsu drive and works fine .. sometimes. Often, it won't boot up, and every 3-5 minutes it performs some type of disk check even if a file access is occuring. Anyways, MAST says that the flakey boot-up and performance is due to a noisy bus and have sent to me 13 capacitors that should quiet things down if I replace the ones by the printer port (the drive plugs into this port on the 1000). These capacitors are 150pf instead of the current 450pf. Would replacing these possibly cause any other problems ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Also, if any one has any information (manual) regarding the drive would you please send it to me. PETER PS : I bought the drive for my AMIGA 1000 but the advertisement claims it can be plugged into a MAC just the same way. After calling them up about this they say I have to pay another $150 to get that controller. What a rip-off. Fraudulent advertizing or what ??
