I would like to know if any one has had any success replacing
there A1000's internal Drive without cosmetically modifing the
1000's exterior case? (I really don't want to spend $189 on one of
Commodore's replacement drives) If so what brand 720k PC drive did
you use? Any Compatibility problems with it?
I am looking around for a used StarBoard II w/StarCard and need
to know about the performance of the SCSI controller itself. Is it as
fast as a Xetec FastTrack? (if both were using the same Hard Drives)
What kind of transfer Rate could I expect using a Quantum 40s with it?
Lastly, I have the A-max Cartridge & 128K roms and am having
trouble bringing the first system over via The Mini Disk Transfer
method... Are there any tricks to this??? I have Access to Macs so
I'd rather not buy a Mac External Drive if I can help it...
