To all of the people out there that DETESTED and returned ULTRACARD
one word of advice:
->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GET CanDo! <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<-
It is simply the easiest way to write small applications for the Amiga. It
supports AnimBrushes, any resolution pictures, AREXX, can talk to the serial
port, play sounds, put up buttons, attach actions to those buttons. The list
could go on forever. It is WELL worth $85.00 (lowest mail order). They have
a liberal upgrade policy, send in registration card and a blank disk and
they will send you an upgrade AUTOMAGICALLY. This has been verified by
several people in my users group here in DFW.
Now the drawbacks:
1) No floating point numbers. And thus no transendental functions.
2) To make a "stand alone" application add 100K to the size of your
"deck" (the metaphor for the scripts you use)
There are probably more that I have not run into YET :-)
The latest upgrade 1.02 adds new commands, but I have not had a chance to
look at it. I hope The Director II is TOO much better than CanDo!
Summary: GET CANDO! You will not be sorry you did.
