Good things always come in pairs, so here are two (hopefully) good questions: 1) Concerning the new screen modes supported with 1.4/ECS. When we get 1.4, will the new new xX400 non-interlace mode have the option of being "mapped" to the old xX400 interlace mode. Ie, will there be a "flicker fixer" mode that I can use in my DP program, etc or will I need to wait for updates for all my software packages? 2) I just got a NEC 3d (and am waiting impatiently for my 2500/30 box to show up to go with it!) Right now I am running it on my old 500. The problem that is occuring seems to be wide spread. symptoms as follows: In DpaintIII with overscan mode on, when I move my brush towards the top of the screen, the cursor stops just shy of the top of the screen, but the brush will continue upwards to the true top of the screen! When showing a picture with overscan (using superview), the mouse will be streched out all over the screen. Ie, it looks like someone hit the sucker with a machine gun. The thing still kind of looks like a mouse, but it is streched to run the entire height of the screen and is about 1" wide. All times: as you are looking at the monitor, the first line with data on it is skewed. ie, as follows: __________________ ! xxx! !xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx! !xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx! . . . !xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx! !xxxxxxxxxxxxx ! ------------------ Where the x's are active scan lines. The skew at the bottom and the skew on the top are aligned, but opposite. Also, the right edge is torn and jagged. (fuzz about the size of two pixels or so. Thanks alot for any answers people may have. Stuart Stanley
