In a previous posting I used the word "buy-out" to describe the situation vis-a-vis INFO Magazine and AmigoTimes. This was not the correct terminology and I apologize for misleading anyone. I spoke this morning with Benn Dunnington, founder and publisher of INFO Magazine and he described the negotiations he and Eyo Sama (Publisher of AmigoTimes) are involved in as a "50/50 merger", not an INFO buyout of ATimes. Apparently some folks were mislead by my posting into thinking that AmigoTimes was going to fold up and blow away in the wind as the huge multi-national INFO cartel absorbed them. This isn't the case. Dunnington and Sama will both be involved in the new periodical which will spring from the -=>MERGER<=- of their two current magazines. Whatever kind of publication springs forth from the result of this INFO/AmigoTimes *** M E R G E R *** should prove to be interesting. Benn & I didn't discuss what role Amiga Transactor may or may not play or not play in this whole affair but when I have more news on that I'll post it.
