I am having a very recent and bad problem. My single drive system refuses to copy any disks, but it used to. The system: A500,no fast memory, single drive, KS1.3 (version 34.5), and WB1.3 (version 34.28). This is almost a new machine, just a couple of months old. I was having a problem with heavily used disks (a good couple of days use) coming up with read/write errors, so I moved my powersupply (which was behind and to the left of the A500) and my monitor (which was right next to the internal drive on the desk) away from the machine and drive. I thought that was causing a problem. Now, I can't copy a disk using the duplicate from WB or copy from CLI. When selected, the requester comes up with put source disk...and then I hit continue to copy my WB disk and the DF0 busy icon comes up, the window in the corner changes to "reading 0, 79 to go", the drive cranks and spins, then nothing else happens. Nothing. Drive light comes on and stays on, and just spins. The window in the corner doesn't change. I need some advice. What can i do? I call upon the collective Amiga wisdom available on the net. Maybe the Commodore is listening too? --Brett.
