[comp.sys.amiga] What is the best near-real-time digitizer to buy?

peb@tma1.Sun.COM (Paul Baclaski) (02/21/90)

I am interested in getting some kind of frame grabber. I want real time
effects and low quality digitization (versus B&W camera and color filters).

All I know about is Live! but I heard that NewTek makes something called
Frame Grabber (for more money). (Is that the video toaster they were
talking about?) Are there any other products out there that I should
consider? I have an A1000.

Also, if anyone has a frame grabber that they are not using, I would
consider buying from you (at less than list price, of course).

Please send me mail rather than posting, if possible.

Progressive Peripherials makes a Amiga (any model) framegrabber -- list is
in the mid 500's. I have had one a year now and it is simply fantastic.

Real time video in , succesive frame capture for animation.. very nice.
