I am considering the purchase of a FORTUNE 32:16 and would appreciate any solid information concerning the hardware and UNIX version running on the system. I have some questions: 1. Who ported the UNIX and what version? 2. What is their C like? 3. Is this a single board machine with limited expansion? (backplane) The price was $7500 for: 10meg hard disk, 100k floppy, 512kb memory, 1 serial port plus the console, Forword, and Multiplan. 4. Is this a reasonable price, or is Fortune about to release a newer, less expensive model? 5. Would *THIS* machine be suitable for program development? 6. Are there better buys in the microUNIX marketplace? Any advice in addition to plain old solid facts would be appreciated.
