I was able to download the Wild Copper Demo (rvb, I think it's called) and get it running. I have read in this group that there is text which scrolls on the bottom or top of the demo but is difficult to see without a PAL Amiga. Well, being the "creative" person I am ;*), I just used the vertical hold on my monitor to move the bottom of the screen to the middle. However, when I did this, I saw something very strange. I could see the text scrolling, but the top half of the text was at the bottom of the image and the bottom half of the text was at the top half of the screen (by screen, I mean the graphic image). So what I saw was something like: |-----------------------| | Bottom half of the | | Demo image | | | | | |Top 1/2 of all letters | |-----------------------| |\\Black space between\\| |\top and bottom of pic\| |-----------------------| | Bott. 1/2 of letters | | | | Top half of the | | Demo image | | | |-----------------------| Does this diagram make sense? If so, anyone have ideas as to why this is happening? Is it something I have set wrong in my Workbench or in my hardware? What else might it be and how can it be fixed? Thanks, Scott Sutherland sutherla@qtp.ufl.edu

The Wild Copper RVb Demo has the weird effect of putting half the text on the bottom of the screen and the rest at the top on all NTSC Amigas that I have seen. There are programs you can get which will set your computer to PAL if you have 1 megabyte of CHIP RAM (actually it has to do with having the Agnus which allows 1 megabyte of CHIP RAM; 8372). All that would be needed to fix it, is to change one number in the program. Unfortunately, one would probably have a rough time finding this number in the program without a knowledge of copperlists. - hope this helps - Mike!
