Reply to: sas!sasjtb@rti.rti.org (Jack Bulkley) Organization: SAS Institute Inc, Cary NC I understand that there is a Music-X mailing list. Can someone send me information on joining? I wrote a Music-X librarian protocol for Yamaha FB-01 configurations. I will try to knock out the voice banks protocol this weekend. I am willing to share these. I am also interested in Music-X libraian protocols for Yamaha DX-11 configurations and editors for all of the above. I would also like to convert some sys-ex dumps (DX11 voice banks) that I have on disk into the Music-X library format. I tried to suspend Music-X and use tsx (uses MIDI.LIBRARY) to transmit a bank to the DX-11 and then switch back to Music-X to receive the bank. Unfortunately this hangs the machine and I have to reboot for every bank. That is just too tedious. Anyone have a better idea? I also had problems converting a DMCS score. In DMCS I saved as SMUS and then used the utility to convert from SMUS to Music-X. I got the number of sequences(4) I expected but all of my chords had been reduced to one note. Is this a 4 note limit of SMUS or DMCS implementation of SMUS? I also have some Mimetics Pro Midi sequences I would like to convert to Music-X. I haven't tried any yet, but my experience with DMCS to SMUS has me questioning that route. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -- This posting was generated by a simlutator.
